Testing bodyweight workout

This is a workout designed to push your body to the maximum, ideal whatever your fitness goals. It will work all the muscles in your body and, done correctly, give you a cardiovascular workout too. No equipment needed!

Make sure you warm up properly – you should get your heart rate up, mobilise all your joints and prepare both physically and mentally for what you are about to put your body through.

This workout involves doing 8 exercises back to back – go straight from one exercise to the next without pausing. After you have completed all 8 you can rest for 30 seconds – have a quick drink, get your breath back and go onto the next round!

1st round – 1 repitition of each exercise.

2nd round – 2 reps of each exercise

3rd round – 3 reps….. etc.

Keep going up until you cannot complete a full set of the exercises. Your fitness level will determine how long this workout lasts, but everyone can do it and work their body to their maximum. Really want to push yourself? Once you fail, work your way back down to round 1 missing out the exercise you failed on.

Backwards Lunge

Hand walk out

Cross Climbers

Press up

Plank to Press

Squat Jump

Burpee

Standing Long Jump

Remember, each exercise back to back. The first few rounds will be fairly easy, but the intensity will increase as you progress! A great workout to measure progress, each time you do this try to push yourself further than the previous attempt

Cool down at the end by stretching each of the muscles you used
